All India Trinamool Congress
Abhishek Banerjee is an Indian politician and the National General Secretary of the All India Trinamool
Congress (AITC). He is also a Member of Parliament from the Diamond Harbour constituency in West
Bengal.
Banerjee is considered to be a close aide of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is also
the founder of the AITC. He has been actively involved in the party’s activities since his youth and rose to
prominence within the party in the early 2010s.
Apart from his political career, Banerjee has also been involved in social work and has established
several non-profit organizations in West Bengal. He is known for his efforts to empower the
underprivileged sections of society, particularly women and children.
In recent years, Banerjee has been in the news for his aggressive campaigning for the AITC in West
Bengal and for his fiery speeches against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at national level. He has
been widely regarded as one of the key strategists of the AITC in recent elections.
