Narendra Modi is an Indian politician who currently serves as the Prime Minister of India, since May
- He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a
right-wing Hindu nationalist organization in India. He is known for his charismatic personality, leadership skills, and efforts to modernize and develop India.
Before becoming the Prime Minister, Modi served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014.
During his tenure, he implemented various policies that were aimed at boosting the state’s economic
growth and development, including the Gujarat Solar Policy, which aimed at promoting solar power
generation in the state.
As the Prime Minister of India, Modi has initiated several ambitious projects such as Digital India,
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), Make in India, and Ayushman Bharat, aimed at
transforming India into a developed nation. He has also launched several foreign policy initiatives to
strengthen India’s position in the global arena, including the Act East Policy and the International Yoga
Day initiative.
Modi has been widely recognized for his leadership, and has received several awards and honors,
including the Philip Kotler Presidential Award, the Seoul Peace Prize, and the Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud
from Saudi Arabia. However, his tenure as Prime Minister has also been marked by controversies,
particularly with regard to issues such as communalism, economic policies, and the handling of the
COVID-19 pandemic in India.
